Olympia is a beer that exists almost entirely in the past. You drank it before 21, maybe right up until 21, and then it vanished from your life so completely that you forgot it had a taste at all. You didn’t quit it on principle. You just grew up and never looked back.

Back then, Olympia was cold, simple, and unchallenging, which is exactly what you needed. It showed up at night, in dim rooms, on scarred tables, next to a glass pipe that had been passed around enough to lose ownership. You drank it while sitting on floors, leaning against walls, or standing because sitting felt optional. Smoke hung in the air. Someone was always mid-story. Time felt wide open.

Now, Olympia feels like a relic. You don’t miss it. You don’t defend it. Seeing it again feels like flipping through an old photo and recognizing the room before you recognize yourself. The pipe. The ashtray. The version of you who thought this phase would last forever.

It didn’t. And that’s fine.
